Terms of Service

By installing or using the SmartShip ZA application ("App") from the Shopify App Store, you ("Merchant") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

SmartShip ZA is a Shopify app designed to provide carrier-calculated shipping rates for South African postal codes at Shopify checkout.

The App integrates with the Shopify platform via the Shopify Partner API. Use of the App is subject to Shopify's own Terms of Service.

The App is offered on a paid subscription basis processed through the Shopify Billing API. Current pricing is $16.00 USD per month after a 7-day free trial.

• Billing is managed by Shopify, I do not process or store payment card information
• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time by uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin
• No partial month refunds are provided, your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period

You may use the App solely for the purpose of calculating shipping rates on your Shopify store. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
• Use the App to provide services to third parties without prior written consent
• Attempt to circumvent subscription billing
• Use the App in any way that violates Shopify's Partner Program Agreement

I aim to maintain a 99% monthly uptime for the shipping rate endpoint. Planned maintenance will be communicated via the app dashboard where possible.

Support is provided via email at support@smartshipza.co.za. I respond within 1 business day (Monday-Friday, South Africa Standard Time).

The App is provided "as is". I make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of shipping rate calculations, delivery time estimates, or postal code classifications.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost revenue, customer disputes, or incorrect shipping charges.

My total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may terminate by uninstalling the App. I may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms, with or without notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

I may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app dashboard. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
